D&K launches new laminators and 'ultra matt' films at Ipex

D&K will launch the new Jupiter DS one- or two-sided laminator at Ipex, along with the Pictor, a similarly one- or two-sided laminator designed for short runs, and a range of scuff-resistant 'ultra matt' films.

The new DS model has a B2 format, and D&K claimed that the design has retained a compact footprint despite its ability to laminate two sides in one pass.

Sales manager John Hancock said: "We have concentrated on ways of increasing productivity so the Jupiter DS is now fitted with electrical heated rollers rather than having oil-filled rollers. This means quicker heat-up times, and cool-down periods are also reduced, which means quicker changes between single- and double-sided work."

Of the new ultra-matt films, Hancock said: "As well as retaining colour definition and density, the coating has a pleasantly tactile feel."
